During a keynote presentation, Liu Mancan, Manager of Zhiguang Energy Storage Solutions, highlighted the system’s groundbreaking “modular block” topology: Single-unit capacity exceeding 100MWh, Direct grid connection without the need for step-up transformers, >92% cycle efficiency & >90% battery utilization rate, significantly reducing energy losses and infrastructure costs.

On the safety front, the system integrates cluster-level segmented control and cloud-edge collaborative monitoring, eliminating circulating current risks. Coupled with redundant bypass modules and an immersive fire suppression system, it sets a new benchmark for lifecycle safety management in energy storage applications.

This 35kV high-voltage cascaded direct-connected storage system has been successfully deployed in benchmark projects, including: Qinghai Hainan 150MW/600MWh Energy Storage Power Station, Gansu Guazhou Dry River North & South Wind Farm Storage Project. These projects effectively address renewable energy fluctuations and reinforce the system’s role as a critical infrastructure for next-generation power grids.

At the exhibition, Zhiguang’s senior engineers provided in-depth insights into the design philosophy, technical advantages, key application scenarios, operational strategies, and cloud-based management platform of its grid-forming high-voltage storage technology. The system recently won First Prize at the 2024 National Advanced Energy Storage Technology Innovation Challenge, organized by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

With over 70% market share in the high-voltage cascaded energy storage sector, Zhiguang has successfully delivered and operated multiple 100MW-level projects for leading state-owned enterprises, including State Grid, China Southern Grid, and major power groups. Its solutions have been widely deployed in applications such as grid frequency regulation, renewable energy integration, and industrial parks, demonstrating extensive expertise in project construction and operational management.

Zhiguang Energy Storage remains committed to innovation-driven development, advancing energy storage technologies to accelerate the global transition toward green, low-carbon energy solutions.
